Thanksgiving: May the Turkeys Be with You

Hi hi hi and Happy Turkey Day to all of you out there in blogosophere land! (To my readers in foreign, Turkey Day-less countries, Happy Squab, Guinea Fowl, or Braised Nuthatch Day, where applicable).

This morning me and my sister Marshall and my pal Shelly woke up extra early and we all rushed out to the kitchen in excitement...had he been here overnight? Had he? Yes! Sometime during the night while were sleeping, The Big Turkey had broken into the house (no big deal, it only took a few minutes to sweep up the window glass) and filled the cornucopias we had left by the refrigerator with care. I got a box of stuffing mix and a can of pumpkin pie filling in mine, Marshall got sage and some Idaho potatoes, and Shelly got a whole cornucopia full of oysters! Them's good eatin'!

Oh course, that means we will not only have a delicious Thanksgiving day dinner courtesy of The Big Turkey, but that we also have plenty of snack-type food to dig into when we settling down on the couch for our traditional Turkey Day viewing of the most famous Turkey movie of all. Come along and watch this ultimate Turkey classic with us and thrill to the exciting sensation of the finest Turkey has to offer:

Turkish Star Wars
Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam ("Turkish Star Wars") (Anıt Film, Turkey, 1982), screenplay by Cüneyt Arkın, directed by Çetin Inanç

Just in case you're too excited and overwhelmed with tension, you may wanna check out the spine-tingling, action-thribbled, cheese-and-onion Turkish Superman!:

from Süpermen Dönüyor ("Turkish Superman") (by a film company I won't name here, 1979), screenplay by Emel Tulgar, directed by Kunt Tulgar, starring Tayfun Demir

Happy Turkey Day from me, Marshall, Shelly, our Turkish Star Wars pals Murat and Ali, and The Big Turkey himself. Don't forget to save room for pie!
