It's the "plink" sound effect. It just MAKES it! Oh, and nobody wearing a hat like that, has any business mocking anyone else.
It would be fun to pinpoint exactly when the images of the 1940s dock worker thug and Bowery Boy vanished from comics.Probably around when Jack left Marvel, I think.
Grr...the line should be, "And you don't mess around with GRIMM."Rhymes with "Jim" and "Slim"
D'oh! How'd I miss that! Brilliant! Thanks, Steven! Changed, and you get the credit. Consider yourself Bull-Prized!
When I become a superhero my catch phrase will be "I'll give you such a belt in the Labonzza!"
I don't think I've heard anyone say "labonza" since I left Brooklyn. Sometimes Stan makes me misty... *sniff*.
I have two questions about this. 1.) Sooooo where exactly is the labonza, roughly? And 2.) Not that tough? Does The Thing not look like he's made out of rocks? WHenever I see something that looks to be made out of rocks, I've got to assume, "Hey, that has a better than even chance of being rock hard."
Exactly what I was going to say. The 'plink' bit is almost worth it, but, c'mon. Even a Yancy Streeter isn't *that* thick.
He was never seen again in the comics, because the next week he tried to put the Human Torch in a headlock, suffered 3rd degree burns over 90% of his body, and quickly expired.Needless to say, the Code kept that from appearing on-panel.I think that type of character stopped appearing because Marvel Central Casting fired them all shortly after this, and hired long haired hippies with fringe jackets.
