Redemption: Re-creating the Most Despised Character in Comics as a Fun Guy

And...awaaaaay we go!

(Unless you have the tiny, tiny eyes of Hank Pym, click all images to make them god-size...er, clone-size):

Clor #1

Clor #1

Clor #1

What? Will there be more? Ya, you betcha, true believer...to be continued!

Thinkin' Yeller Cab needs its own book

I would read a "thinking yellow taxi" ongoing series. There could also be a blockbuster intercompany crossover with him (it?) and The Magic School Bus.
Excellent choice, yet so obvious in retrospect. Nobody needs the help of a little stuffed bull more than Clor!

I was close with my Spider-Clone guess, but this is better. You're right, Clor had no fans... UNTIL NOW!!!

And next time Bully's in London, he could do a "talking London black cab" crossover.

Promising start! Even if you delay the rest 6 months and then drive it straight downhill into a steaming pile, you've done better than Civil War!

Why do I think Clor will only find solace with the Sons of Knute?

(Word verification: WUMDFI, the lutefisk-based monster also known as the Lake Wobegard Serpent)

Vince Dualetta!

Wonderful.

Bizarro Blockade Boy say this not funniest thing me read all year! Boo, Bully! Boo!

I would totally buy a Thinking Yellow Taxi book. Bully, I think you've created the Sensational Character Find of 2007.

And the answer to the last question of Page 2, Panel 3 is clearly Erin Esurance.

And A Little Stuffed Bull Shall Set Things Right!

Bravo!

I enjoyed the itty-bitty and totally not seditious text on page 1. All Hail Lord Tony! All Hail Thinkin' Yellow Cab!

Looking back, I wonder if you could provide a "True American" answer key for this update (though I do agree with Bill D. on Page 2, Panel 3's debate). I would hate to be out of touch with my fellow citizens like that traitor Steve Rogers!!!...
I mean I don't want to have to go to Marvel jail.

Now, I read Overheard In New York, and I think I know what real New Yorkers would say about Clor ... but I don't think it's appropriate for a little stuffed bull's ears.

"Clor, Who won on American Idol last year?"

Brilliant.

Yay, Bully! A little stuffed bull always brings new light where once was darkness!

Good job, Bully! You've actually re-created the most despised character in comics as a fun guy! You've actually redeemed ... Vince Colletta!

Thinking Yellow Taxi has a ready made Rogue's Gallery with Christine and Black Maria- it would be like the Spirit with cars! (I suggest you use this line in the movie pitch) Mr King and Mr Chaykin surely wouldn't say no to a little stuffed bull...

Hey, man, my mom's folks were Norwegian! You're making fun of my cultural heritage...scarily accurate fun, ya, okey dokey.

And now my accent's back. Thanks heaps, Bully!

(Just kidding, and when's the rest of the story coming? I only vaguely remember the original...)

I'm so behind this I think there should be a whole team! They could be called the Clovengers, and feature Clor, Claptain Clomerica, Cluclk, The Closp, Cliant Man, the Clision, Clocksilver, and the Scarlet Clitch.

Oh...oh my! *gasp, snerk, snort* You are a bad bad little Bull. And by bad, I of course mean good.

This gives me a great idea for an Amalgam hero: Thinking Yellow Space Cabby!

"Clor, Claptain Clomerica, Cluclk, The Closp, Cliant Man, the Clision, Clocksilver, and the Scarlet Clitch."

I'm not sure any company could get away with calling a female character something that starts with "Scarlet Clit".

Isn't Thinking Yellow Taxi a crossover character from the Electric Company Spiderman Marvel Universe? DAMN YOU, HYPERTIME!

This was brilliant, Bully. I especially liked the big yellow taxi that took Odinson away.
(PS: Hi everyone who subscribed to comments nearly a half-dozen years ago!)

Thanks, Blam! One of these days I need to reletter this series--I could do it a lot better now. Unfortunately I'm still trying to find my original files, as I foolishly may not have saved them in high-res. Live and learn!
