Kobayashi Maru

I'll be reviewing this week's comics as soon as I stop sniffling and when I can find my black-and-gold memorial armband, but in the meantime, let's look at this house ad from this week's DC comics:
JLoA House Ad

Whoa. Now that's what I call a no-win scenario.

Wouldn't it be great if they could get Rick Veitch or somebody else who could do a bunch of imitation-silver age covers for this book?

Those Tom Strong covers you pointed out are some of the coolest covers I've seen in years.

You couldn't ask for a better example of the disparity between male and female poses in mainstream comics, than that cover...plain as day, 1-2-3.

chawunky hit the nail on the head - that's the first thing I thought of when I saw this cover. It really ruins the composition for me.

Well, actually it was the second thing: the first was that the cover sucks.

The third is that the logo sucks, too.

Yeah, that cover really doesn't do anything for me.

Actually given both artists tendencies to miss deadlines, how funny would it be if DC shipped the future issues with no cover, because neither guy could get them done in time?
